Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking a Principal Engineer EMI/EMC SME, the SME will provide professional expertise in a highly complex, non-routine environment supporting large or multiple projects.  Will provide guidance and subject matter expertise to other team members and provides technical expertise to solve highly complex issues. Will lead development of EMI and Space Charging requirements, evaluations, testing, and analysis for space flight hardware from component level through craft level. The EMI/EMC SME attends meetings, support reviews, provides status to the project schedule, develops documentation, and provide technical direction to the various groups on the project.  The EMI/EMC SME will focus primarily on EMI and space charging modeling and simulation; providing testing, real-time data processing for performance validation. They will provide criteria and specifications for the project as well as lead presentations of analysis from modeling and testing. The EMI/EMC SME oversees the development of testing systems, software and hardware development, procedures, and the conduct of testing. The Prior experience with space flight hardware and EMI/EMC modeling and testing development is critical and the engineer should have very good team leadership experience and skills.

• This position requires a minimum Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent education and experience with preference of a masters or greater in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics or related field from an accredited institution.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 20 years' experience in space flight EMI/EMC support for hardware from development of requirements through providing testing and validation.
•  Development EMI/EMC requirements and document for space flight projects.
•  SME knowledge level for EMI/EMC requirements and verification support.
•  Direct and performed the EMI testing.
•  Perform analysis to predict generated E-Fields inside the EMI chamber.
•  Experience in analyzing test data and providing presentation of results.
•  Experience in developing and implementing corrective actions to protect against spacecraft charging.
