Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) has an exciting opportunity to manage hardware development and personnel on a NASA IDIQ contract. We are seeking a Task Lead (TL) to provide technical direction on multiple tasks that support the development of satellite hardware.  The TL is responsible for technical, schedule, quality, and cost performance for tasks.  The TL budgets, monitors, and controls aspects of task performance to ensure that all projects and tasks are accomplished within the prescribed schedule and cost parameters of the overall contract. The TL interfaces with customers to capture project requirements, obtain feedback on performance, and will work with one or more Group Leads in managing Group staff and efforts. The TL oversees development of task plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, and allocation of available resources.  The TL directly supervises technical staff and works collaboratively with other Department/Group Leads to meet contract objectives. The TL reports to the Group Lead on contract matters and ensures that all deliverables are met. 

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, math, or physical sciences discipline and 9+ years of professional experience, including 2 years of management/leadership of space-related engineering, technology development, or scientific projects, and have extensive knowledge and understanding of a broad spectrum of disciplines involved in engineering and technology support.
• Successful candidate will have experience in contract administration, project planning, variance analysis and reporting, personnel selection and management, and status monitoring and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills are required.

• Understanding of the full hardware development life cycle including requirements development, design, development, and integration and test
• Experience in the NASA contracting environment, and NASA engineering programs is strongly desired
• Familiarity with generation of procurement documentation including purchase requests, sole source justifications, and price analysis
