Science Systems and Applications Inc. (SSAI) seeks several Technical Talent Acquisition Specialists to source qualified candidates in support of corporate and multiple Scientific, Engineering and IT related government contracts throughout the United States.  This position will start off as remote but may require work in an office in Pasadena, CA once restrictions are lifted.

The Technical Talent Acquisition Specialists will be responsible for full life-cycle recruiting for all levels of Scientific, Engineering, IT and business professionals.  Often high volume, these penings are highly technical and require the recruiter to source candidates through multiple resources including advertising, social media, job fairs and resume searches.  The recruiters will be responsible for communicating with hiring managers, candidates and in some cases the end customer regarding the status of the openings.  In addition, scheduling interviews, checking references, consulting with Managers on hiring and onboarding details, and assisting with new hire orientation when needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related technical field, and 10 years of high volume technical recruiting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have proven experience recruiting for highly technical roles for either science or engineering professionals in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience actively sourcing strategies for talented and diverse candidates through creative methods such as job posting, data mining of the internet, on-line databases, social media, internal databases, employee referrals, networking, cold calling, competitor research, career fairs, etc.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws related to recruiting and hiring a diverse and talented workforce.
  • Must have at least 2-3 years experience in a temporary or staffing firm environment.
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization, candidates and with our customers, when needed.
  • Team oriented mindset with the willingness to pitch in where needed, when available.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Government contracting experience a plus
  • Experience providing hiring metrics, statistics and reports desirable
  • Familiarity with behavioral interviewing preferred.
