Job Description:
Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking an individual to provide technical leadership for the comprehensive test and analysis services in the GSFC Parts Analysis Laboratory. Candidate will be responsible for applying military, ESA, NASA, and Aerospace TOR specification and standard requirements, tailored to specific NASA Project requirements, for both destructive and non-destructive testing.  Other duties will include job estimation, work order development, schedule tracking, workforce development, data and test method verification, and standardization/improvement of testing processes within the lab.
Required Qualifications:
  • Candidate will have 7-10 years of relevant laboratory work experience, along with demonstrated leadership in a Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-mechanical testing/analysis laboratory.
  • Excellent English technical communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to implement precise and repeatable measurement techniques to accurately characterize the electrical performance of the devices under test under varied environmental conditions
  • Develop and implement specialized tests / measurement / equipment / fixturing to conduct powered testing with in-situ monitoring, while applying stresses of voltage, current, temperature, humidity or temperature cycling
Desired Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be a US citizen or LPR with ability to obtain a Government security clearance and/or successfully complete a background investigation.
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Broad knowledge of NASA, ESA, and U.S. military testing requirements, standards, and specifications
  • Well organized, with the ability to multi-task effectively, keeping multiple jobs on schedule and properly documented
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, TEAMS) required; PCB layout tools , Labview, would be a plus.
